Zerops, a startup born from the web hosting company VSHosting, recently secured nearly 12 million CZK in a pre-seed funding round. Supported by Presto Ventures and Gi21 Capital led by Damir Špoljarič, Zerops aims to streamline the app development process by handling infrastructure management, allowing developers to focus on coding.

What Zerops Does: The platform facilitates the development, deployment, and operation of applications, regardless of their size or complexity. By simplifying infrastructure management, Zerops enhances the productivity and efficiency of programmers.

Founders’ Backgrounds: Zerops was co-founded by Aleš Rechtorík, a developer and UX designer with over fifteen years of experience, and Jan Saidl, a former lead developer at VSHosting with 25 years of experience in system architecture and infrastructure programming. The founding team includes nine other members.

Company Milestones: After three years of development and millions of euros invested, Zerops reports thousands of successful deployments and fourteen high-availability managed services.

Investment Plans: The recent funding will be used to expand integrations with popular frameworks and open-source software, enhance the knowledge base and documentation, improve the onboarding process, and gain traction for global expansion. Within two years, Zerops aims to attract thousands of active users.

Why It’s Interesting: The use of artificial intelligence in programming is growing rapidly, and developers are looking for easy-to-set-up infrastructure solutions. Zerops, a spin-off from VSHosting, fits perfectly into this trend and has shown significant user interest and rapid growth.
